At Alessa Jewellery, we believe jewellery should be worn and enjoyed — not saved only for special occasions.

Our pieces are designed for everyday elegance and carefully crafted with quality materials, refined finishes and attention to detail. Proper care will help preserve the beauty, brilliance and finish of your jewellery for longer.

Everyday Wear

Alessa Jewellery is made to become part of your everyday moments. To keep your jewellery looking its best, we recommend:

  • Applying perfumes, lotions and cosmetics before putting on your jewellery
  • Limiting prolonged contact with chemicals, excessive moisture and perspiration
  • Removing jewellery before swimming, showering, sauna use or intense physical activity
  • Storing your jewellery safely when not in use
  • Gently wiping your jewellery with a soft cloth after wear

Everyday wear is completely normal, but a little care can make a significant difference to the longevity of your jewellery.

Gold & Rhodium Plating

Selected Alessa Jewellery pieces feature gold or rhodium plating with protective finishing designed to enhance shine, appearance and durability.

As with all plated jewellery, the finish may gradually show signs of wear over time. The rate of wear can vary depending on:

  • Frequency of wear
  • Skin chemistry
  • Contact with perfume, lotions and cosmetics
  • Exposure to moisture, perspiration and chemicals
  • Storage and care habits

Gradual fading or surface wear of plating is a natural characteristic of plated jewellery and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Moissanite Care

Moissanite is a highly durable gemstone known for its exceptional brilliance and fire.

To keep your moissanite looking its best:

  • Gently clean it with a soft jewellery cloth
  • Avoid allowing cosmetics, lotions or oils to build up around the stones
  • Avoid heavy impact that could damage the stone or its setting
  • Store your jewellery carefully when it is not being worn

Eligible Alessa moissanite stones are also protected by our Lifetime Moissanite Stone Warranty, subject to the terms of our Warranty Policy.

Storage

When you're not wearing your Alessa jewellery:

  • Store pieces separately where possible
  • Keep jewellery in a clean, dry environment
  • Use the original jewellery box or pouch for additional protection
  • Avoid allowing pieces to rub against one another

This helps reduce scratching, tangling and unnecessary wear.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

For regular at-home care, gently wipe your jewellery with a clean, soft, non-abrasive cloth.

Avoid abrasive materials, harsh chemical cleaners or aggressive polishing, particularly on plated pieces.

For jewellery with detailed stone settings, clean gently around the setting and avoid applying unnecessary pressure.
